Kallos Gallery, selling some of the finest Greek antiquities in the world, launched this week. SO’s Creative Director was honoured to be invited along with HRH The Prince of Wales, TMs King Constantine II and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece to the official grand opening of the Mayfair gallery, followed by dinner at luxurious Claridge’s.
Distinguished antiquities collector, Baron Lorne Thyssen-Bornemisza, appointed SO with the project of creating the luxury brand design for his exquisite Greek antiquities gallery in London’s chic Mayfair.
“Our client wanted a fresh brand to stand out in an extremely technical and elitist field,” said Jo Stedman, Creative Director at SO. “And while most competitors in the antiquities market focus purely on the transaction and the collecting, we wanted to create a more emotional proposition. We began with developing a story for the brand that focused on sharing academic and cultural insights of not only art, but also literature, architecture and civilisation. This way, we added depth and context to collecting, and shared Kallos’s passion for the art and culture of Ancient Greece.”
As a totally new entity, Kallos Gallery needed a cohesive suite of marketing collateral. The first taste of the brand we created arrived in the form of a stunning custom invitation design. Delivered within an elegant, soft touch nubuk box inset with a burnished, engraved copper plaque, this charming invite caused an amazing reaction from many high-profile recipients across the globe.
The quality of execution seen in the invitation, is extended to every single piece of marketing collateral and SO have been working tirelessly for close to a year to deliver a whole host of stunning print work alongside a bespoke website design and other digital advertising.
