Luxury coffee table book design for limited edition objet d’art

A luxury coffee table book design and clamshell box for Decca Luxe – part of the Universal Music Group. Decca Luxe reasserts the value of music as an art form, creating bespoke experiences and limited edition objets d’art for devotees and collectors around the world.

A performer who captivates audiences. A humanitarian who improves the lives of thousands. An individual whose presence inspires others. Luciano Pavarotti encapsulated this kaleidoscope of qualities in a single, great man. Working closely with Anew, we were privileged with our latest commission to design a luxury coffee table book to promote a lasting tribute to Pavarotti’s unparalleled vocal skill.

The power, purity and range of Pavarotti’s voice were underpinned by a lifetime of practice and only craftsmen of an equal calibre could create a fitting tribute to his vocal skill. An exquisite music cabinet, hand crafted by Linley and featuring their signature marquetry, reflects the Maestro’s passions. Secret compartments hide treasures within and only 71 music cabinets are being produced – one to mark each year of the Maestro’s life.

Designed to reflect the black and white tails worn on stage, the luxury box design is covered with a beautifully soft, black tactile fabric foiled in white. The bespoke logo we designed for ‘Life in Art’ was developed in a creative hand drawn style.

The book has been produced in a case bound lie flat format with heavy, uncoated, textured paper. A luxury showpiece sales brochure which does justice to the exquisite skill and exceptional craftsmanship of both Pavarotti and Linley.
